Beautiful hotel with helpful staff, including John the maitre d. Some minor hiccups, but quickly resolved. Availability saved my weekend after leaving a dangerous and filthy hotel. Fantastic staff, from the night porter to the hotel manager. Spacious, clean room with good rates.

Had an amazing experience staying at this hotel during Christmas! the wedding team and staff were so accommodating and made our day truly special. the breakfast was delicious, served hot and the service by the staff, especially the lovely young girl Amelia, was outstanding. the room had beautiful views and the beds were super comfortable. the location was also perfect, offering peace and quiet for a relaxing stay.
Other than that, everything was lovely and we had a wonderful time.

Cuisine of the hotel restaurant is delicious! The manager tried his best to make his guests be satiesfied
Our room was not ready to move in when we arrived in the evening and was not clean and very dark. If you stay in this hotel, insist on getting a room to the garden! Staff wasn't very friendly and/or was unexperienced.

toilet bowl could have done with having a good scrub, bed needed a topper, it was a very uncomfortable mattress. Breakfast on 3rd morning was disgusting but was not asked if i would liked some fresh eggs cooked...

Room and bathroom perfectly appointed and immaculate. General ambience, building and surroundings. Helpful staff. Good and generous breakfast. Even if there was a wedding the night we stayed, no noise or distubance.
Just a little crowd at the reception desk while checking in-out. There was a weeding and everybody was on the same schedule. Perhaps some additional temporary staff could speed up the processing during peak hours.

I welcomed the absence of children! We were given a superb, spacious room. Food was very good. Staff were excellent except for a few inexperienced persons who, nevertheless, tried hard! The surrounding land was very enjoyable in this noisy age. I did not look at the guest reviews of the hotel and cannot answer the question on this point.
There was no lift to upper floor, but a staff member carried my cases up the stairs, which I would have struggled to do. I thought the bar and food prices were pretty high.

The hotel's location was great, with beautiful views and grounds. the building itself had some very nice architectural features that I appreciated as a lover of design. the bed in our room was incredibly comfortable and the room itself was clean and modern, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
My experience at the hotel was not entirely positive. the breakfast room was infested with wasps, which made me quite nervous, especially considering I have a severe allergy.

relaxed atmosphere friendly staff very helpful reception and very nice to be greeted by fellow welshmen who as every one knows are very friendly .The hotel has kept much of its ancient character with a good mix of old and modern last but not least the a.g.m jonathan was very polite and helpful as wre all the staff from top to bottom
the dinner menu could be a bit more down to earth as not everyone likes fancy dressed up food

Staff were very friendly, rooms were very nice, hotel grounds were beautiful. Very relaxing hotel, gorgeous food.
Price of food and drinks were over what they would be at most hotels of the same star rating.

We held an event in the private room and had a delightful afternoon tea. The staff were exceptional, making everything run smoothly. The location is perfect for accessing local areas and the grounds are beautiful. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud and the rooms were well equipped. The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious, with the added bonus of a honeycomb. The staff were friendly and helpful, even finding us a tie at short notice. We enjoyed exploring the stunning gardens and being followed by the guinea fowl.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

Location, staff and cuisine we found to be good The staff were pleasant and helpful.
The drinks tariff was prohibitive and because of this the hotel was losing out as people were not buying drinks or beverages. Drinks and supplementary food tariffs overpriced.
